The Rhema And The Logos

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ (Matthew 4:4).

This word is the rhema (Strong G4487) word, spoken directly from the mouth of God.

This word is spirit and life (John 6:63).

It is the same word that Mary received into her body when the angel told her that she was chosen by God to give birth to His Son by the Holy Spirit.

When she received the word, it became flesh (Seed) and she was conceived (Luke 1:39; John 1:14).

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

The Word that became flesh (Jesus Christ) is the logos (Strong G3056)

This rhēma word is also the “’thing'(Strong 4487) (spoken word) which came to pass” that the shepherds traveled to Bethlehem to see (Luke 2:15).

Therefore, only the rhema (the spoken word) and the logos Word (Jesus Christ) can strengthen us physically and spiritually.

Receive both the Rhema and the Logos in your heart today!
