In honour of Black History Month, I present to you one of Martn Luther King’s famous speech.

I Have A Dream

Let freedom reigns in our heart and mind. Freedom can only come through the love of Jesus Christ that is in our hearts.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:5)

We cannot walk alone #MLK

Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? (Amos 3:3)

We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream. #MLK

“I hate, I despise your feast days, and I do not savor your sacred assemblies. Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them, nor will I regard your fattened peace offerings.

Take away from Me the noise of your songs, for I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments. But let justice run down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream. (Amos 5:21-24)

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. #MLK

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. (2 Corinthians 4:7-10)

Even though we stil face the difficulties of tomorrow, I have a dream. #MLK

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, 

having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 6:19-20)

I have a dream that the crooked path will be straight…#MLK

I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them. (Isaiah 42:16)

Let freedom rings… Free at last, free at last! Thank God we are free at last!

Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (John 8:34-36)

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)
