Twelve Things That Can Happen To You Today
Yesterday is past and you can’t change the things that happened in the past.
Only God knows what will happen tomorrow! You don”t!
But, today is special because you can determine what happens to you today.
Here are twelve things that can happen to you today.
- Today you can receive salvation.
I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. (Psalms 2:7)
For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness, when your fathers tested Me; They tried Me, though they saw My work. (Psalms 95:7-9)
- Today is the day of deliverance.
And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. (Exodus 14:13)
- Today is the day of provision.
Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.’ ” (Exodus 16:23)
- Today is a day of concecration.
Then Moses said, “Consecrate yourselves today to the Lord, that He may bestow on you a blessing this day, for every man has opposed his son and his brother.” (Exodus 32:29)
- Today you are alive because you hold on to God.
But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you. (Deuteronomy 4:4)
- Today you will hear the voice of God.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. (Deuteronomy 6:4-6)
- Today you will cross over Jordon and conquer the giants in the land.
Hear, O Israel: You are to cross over the Jordan today, and go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to heaven, a people great and tall, the descendants of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you heard it said, ‘Who can stand before the descendants of Anak?’ (Deuteronomy 9:1- 2)
- Today you have a choice: Life or death; Blessing or curse (Deuteronomy 30:15-20).
“Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lordyour God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known. (Deuteronomy 11:26-2)
- Today you are in a battlefield with the enemy, but there is no need to fear.
And he shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’ (Deuteronomy 20:3-4)
- Today you and the Lord are in a covenant relationship.
.Today you have proclaimed the Lord to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and that you will obey His voice.
Also today the Lord has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments, and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.” (Deiteronomy 26:17-19)
- Today you will meet your BOAZ!
And her mother-in-law said to her, “Where have you gleaned today? And where did you work? Blessed be the one who took notice of you.”
So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, and said, “The man’s name with whom I worked today is Boaz.” (Ruth 2:19)
- Today Jesus will visit your house to save, heal, deliver and restore you and your family.
And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”
And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:5,9)
