The Gift Of Grace
Grace is the manifestation of favor especially from an higher power.
Usually, when a person finds grace in the eyes of the Lord it means that the person’s behavior or lifestyle pleases the Lord who will then grants him favor.
For example, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord who then protected him and family from the flood inside the ark (Genesis 6:8).
During the wilderness sojourn, Moses found grace in the eyes of the Lord and He promised that His presence will go with the Israelites and give them rest in spite of their stubborn behavior (Exodus 33).
As a result of God’s grace to Moses, the Lord revealed His glory to him.
Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. (Exodus 33:19)
In keeping with the above definition of grace, it is impossible that we in our sinful life could find grace in the eyes of the Lord.
But, we did!
Because this grace goes way beyond the definition of grace. This grace is a special Spirit of grace and supplication that God poured over us (Zechariah 12:10).
Thus, even while we were dead in sin, God quickened us together with Christ and by the miracle of the Spirit of grace we are saved (Ephesians 2:5-8)
Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!
We are unworthy. No good deeds that we do on earth can save us.
It is simple a gift from God!
The gift of grace!
Praise the Lord!
Join me in thanking the Lord.
