  2. Beverley, I love your posts, including this one. I do want to point out one issue that you may have overlooked in your opening. Where you stated “strangers from the covenant (singular) of promise”, the text actually makes this “covenants” (plural). The difference may seem insignificant, but it is really a big thing, because everything promised to Israel is ours, not just the New Covenant. This means the future promises for Israel are also ours. This one difference actually devides denominations and creates doctrinal differences. Thanks for the post.

    1. Thank you for pointing out the omission and clarifying the passage. Through Jesus Christ we benefit from all the promises of God. We are no more strangers, no more Jews or gentiles but one in Christ. God bless you.
