Blessed Are The Meek

Exihibiting a meek character is not weakness.

It is, in fact, a form of strength and endurance.

Meeknes is living in the presence of God until your face shines with the glory of God yet is able to maintain a humble spirit that is pleasing to God.

(Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.) ( Numbers 12:3)

Meeknes is having the power to rule the enemy with a rod of iron and to smite them with the sword of His mouth but still maintain a quiet and  gently spirit to save, heal, deliver and restore.

But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. (Isaiah 11:4)

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-29)

Seeking after God and His righteousness, maintaining a life of integrity and upholding justice in spite of being persecuted and afflicted is demonstrating meeknes.

Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of the Lord’s anger. (Zephaniah 2:3)

Meeknes is the willingness to lay aside all filthiness and all wickedness, and to humble receive the the implanted Word of God, which is able to save your souls. It is the willingnes to practice the Word of God.

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:21-22)

Meeknes is having the wisdom, understanding and knowledge of the Lord but is humble in your work and the way you treat others.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. (James 3:13)

Meeknes is having a sanctified heart. Equipping yourself with the Word of God so that you are always ready to defend your faith with gentleness, humility, reverence, respect and calmness.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. (1 Peter 3:15)

Meeknes is allowing God to adorn your inner being with the beauty of humility, quietness, gentleness and submissivness.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price (1 Peter 3:3-4)

It is a blessing to be meek because you will inherit everlasting life on earth.

But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. (Psalm 37:11)
