As I get up each morn to pray,

I thank you Father for this new day.

I give you thanks and worship too,

While I spend time apart with you.

As I read Your Holy Word,

In this precious time I’ve set apart;

I meditate on them and think

of how they strengthen my own heart.

With my Gospel Armour on,

Out the door I head my way;

Prepared to face what comes along,

Spiritually prepared for this new day.
