What is Grace?

Grace is the unmerited favor from God. He gave us favor even though we did not deserve it.

As a result of God’s love for us, He sent us His perfect and sinless Son to die for our sins so that through Him we will have everlasting life.

How is this possible?

When Christ died on the cross, our sins also died with Him; and when He rose again from the dead, we also arose with Him to a new life.

Therefore, when we accept Christ in our hearts and is obedient to Him, His glory and perfection will be manifested through us. It is through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can become holy (Hebrews 13: 12).

While we are living in this sinful world filled with temptation, we need to keep our mind transformed with the Word of God so that we will not be conformed to this world.

Note also that the Word of God is flawless. The Lord’s ways are perfect, and He will be a shield for all who take refuge in Him.

Thus, it is imperative that we are not only hearers of the Word but doers also. If you only listen and do not obey you are deceiving yourself.

You will be like a man who looks in the mirror at himself and then after leaving he quickly forgets what he looks like.

Our total obedience to the Holy Spirit will guarantee the blessing of grace in our lives and will unite us together.

Jesus Christ also prayed for us that we all may be united as He is one with the Father.

I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them. Amen. (John 17: 20-26)
