Remove The Limitation From God!

Have you ever wonder why the Israelites preferred to return to the bondage of slavery in Egypt than to trust in the provision of God in the wilderness?

This is something to think about seriously.

The Israelites complained that God led them into the desert to die with their children by the sword. Thus, they tried to overthrow Moses and select a new leader to return to the bondage of slavery in Egypt (Exodus 14).

Many people are still stubborn and foolish like these Israelites. They are shallow with small minds, and they have no visions.

They can only see the present circumstances. So, they quickly forget about the promises of God and choose to return to the bondage of sin.

This situation is sad, and God is not pleased when we remain in this state of stagnation and doubt.

Negative effects of doubting God

Complaints blind your eyes and stop visions.

Disobedience retards your growth.

Stubbornness leaves you stuck.

All three together will kill your spirit. In this state, you will not experience the glory of God in your life.

How does the presence of the Lord appear in your life? fire or cloud?

Due to the Israelites’ state of heart, they could not tolerate the glory of God.

When God appeared on Mount Sinai, they saw His glory as consuming fire and became terrified so they requested that Moses spoke with God then relayed the message to them.

Moses was able to withstand the glory of God because of the close relationship that he had with Him. When Moses communed with God, even his face shone with the brightness of God’s glory.  (Exodus 34:35)

This type of relationship is the place where we all need to be to receive our promises. Many people continue to reject the Lord even though they see the miracles of God.

Whenever we pretend on the outside to show people how righteous we are but our hearts are corrupt and ungodly, we are rejecting God.

The Lord is very frustrated with us when we continue to behave hypocritically and doubtful. He is so angry that He wants to strike us with pestilence and disinherit us.

Fortunately, for us, someone always intervenes similar to the way Moses interceded for the Israelites in the wilderness (Numbers 13).

Christ is our intercessor and High Priest who intercedes on our behalf. Let us always be mindful of this and be faithful to God’s Word.
