There is the Key of David,
to help us understand;
Giving Truth and Wisdom,
from the Son of man.
If you seek Him you shall find Him
For in Wisdom you shall grow;
He’ll give the Key of David
The Truth He longs to show.
I hold the Key of David
within my outstretched hand
It opened up the Scriptures
to help me understand.
He is Truth and Wisdom,
for anyone to know;
All you need to do is ask
His Truth to you He’ll show.

The Key of David is the key that unlocks Scripture: it means understanding the writings of King David, a man after God’s own heart.
And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so He shall open, and none shall shut; and He shall shut, and none shall open. (Isaiah 22:22)
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith He that is holy, He that is true, He that hath the key of David, He that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; (Revelation 3:7)

My name is Susan, and Beverley from Becoming the Oil and the Wine, https://becomingtheoilandwine.com/author/efarim7praise/
had graciously invited me to write my Christian poetry on her blogsite back in 2017. It gave me great delight and pleasure that she published them on her wonderful blog; I was working part time so I couldn't devote too much time and focus on it. Eventually after the passing of time, I felt the Holy Spirit pressing in to me to retire fulltime, to be at home with my husband and be of help with him around our home, and to draw closer to and spend more time with our Heavenly Father. I determined with the time I spend in the morning alone with God that I'd include the poems I write to Him in my blogs. I thought I would mostly keep it of my poetry and sometimes vary it with other thoughts that cross my mind pertaining to the times we're living in. I do enjoy visiting various other blogsites to learn from and to comment here and there by uplifting and edifying comments, and hopefully connect with love and prayers for one another. I take Colossians 4:6 to heart which states "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." I also believe Proverbs 27:17 which states "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."
We, as the body of Jesus Christ, need to stay close at heart in these uncertain times with love, faith and trust in Jesus Christ our Saviour, that He will see us through. ♡

Hi, Susan, This poem opens my eye to the revelation of the key of David. Sometimes we think that the only man in the Bible who had wisdom was Solomon but his father, King David was also a wise man. A man after God’ heart. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate your help and support.
