Dwelling in the Secret Place of Safety

A personal prayer of Psalm 91

He who dthe-belovedwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91:1)

Thank you, Lord, that You are my secret place, and that I abide under the shadow of Your wings; and I will say of you Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress, my God; in You do I trust.

Surely you will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and the noisome pestilence.

You will cover me with your feathers, and under your wings I will trust:

Your truth is my shield and buckler, so I will not be afraid of the terror by night;  nor for the arrow that flies by day; nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at my side and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come near me.

Only with my eyes will I behold and see the recompense of the wicked.

Lord, because I have made you my refuge, even You, most High God, my habitation; there shall no evil befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling.

For You shall give your Angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways.

They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.

I shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and dragon I shall trample under my feet.

Because I have set my love upon You, therefore You will deliver me: You will set me on high,  because I have known your name.

I shall call upon You, and You will answer me: You will be with me in trouble; You will deliver me, and honor me.

With long life, You shall satisfy me, and show me Thy Salvation.

Amen

    A powerful prayer to begin and end your day. We are living in a time where we need to condemn every negative word over our lives and ensure that we are sheltered in God’s secret place. It is my favorite psalms. Thank you, Susan. May you remain sheltered in God’s arms. Blessings
