Is It Possible To have A Perfect Society On Earth?

If there was a sinless civilization before the fall of man, what happen to this perfect world?

The ideal life on earth was disrupted! Not by man but by a heavenly being.

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So, the great dragon was cast out that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:7-9)

The above verse made it clear that the dragon was Satan who had deceived man and the whole earth. He is the author of deception! hence the state of the world today – the age of deception.

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. The entire account of who this devil was and why he made war in heaven was given in the books of Ezekiel and Isaiah.

The Lord told Ezekiel to prophesy against the king of Tyre who was an enemy of Israel.

While Ezekiel prophesied, his words went from the present King and into the heavenly realm of the spirit to curse the cherub who was anointed by God but became corrupted by iniquity (Ezekiel 28).

Similarly, Isaiah’s prophecy was directed to the present king of Babylon, who may have been called Lucifer, to pronounce the downfall of his kingdom.

His prophecy went past the present king straight to the heavenly realm where he began to curse Lucifer, son of the Morning, and described his downfall from heaven.

Though you ascend as high as the eagle, And though you set your nest among the stars, From there I will bring you down,” says the Lord. (Obadiah 1:4) — Though you ascend as high as the eagle, and though you set your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down,” says the Lord. *(Obadiah 1:4)*

Lucifer wanted to sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest side of the north, he wanted to ascend above the heights of the cloud and be like the most- high God (Isaiah 14:13 ).

Clearly, these words surpassed the actions of an earthly human being. These two kings were operating under the direct influence of Satan.

Thus, when the prophets cursed these kings they also cursed the real spiritual perpetrator who was controlling them.

When these three prophecies (including John’s vision) are combined, we received a glimpse of the catastrophic events that took place in heaven.

No doubt there were tremendous explosions of stars and galaxies as a result of this war. Satan was defeated and was cast on earth.

He decided to seek vengeance on mankind and their perfect world by possessing the body of a serpent and tempted the woman (Genesis 3). The rest is history.

As a result of Adam disobedience, God cursed the earth for man’s sake (Genesis 3:17). Thus, every living thing on earth was cursed which would also include other humans if they were present.

The Lord placed cherubim with flaming sword east of the Garden to guard the way to the tree of life.

So, the man and woman could no longer reproduce life from this tree of life and their bodies began to deteriorate.

Thus, they were chased out of the garden and they have to make a living from a cursed earth which was filled with thorn and thistles.

Is it possible to return to a sinless world?

The first Adam (one man) sinned and death resulted from sin. Death spread to all men because all have sinned. Sin was in the world but was not imputed (assigned) until there was a law.

The first law was that God told Adam that he should not eat of the tree of good and evil. This tree represented the knowledge of evil which is anything that opposed God.

Adam disobeyed God’s commandment and he received the penalty of death. Thus, death reigned from the time of Adam when he fell until Moses.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) — For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. *(Romans 6:23)*

The people who lived before Moses who did not break the commandment still receive the penalty of death (Romans 5:12-22)

As a result of the sin of one man, sin entered the world. Subsequently, the children of Adam who were born after their downfall were conceived in sin which passed down the generation of man.

The bloodline of Cain followed the path of sin while the offspring of Seth received forgiveness and they followed the path of the Lord.

Eventually, the entire earth became corrupted by sin because Satan continued to deceive men on earth sowing seeds of discord, deception, rebelliousness and disobedience.

The world became like the pre-Adamic world which the gap theorists described. The first Adam was from the dust of the earth and we all became sinners through him.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”). But God in His mercy promised and delivered a second Adam which was not from earth but the pure seed of God from heaven.

He is the life-giving spirit who brought life to humanity through His death and resurrection. He is the Son of God (John 6:69).

When we believe and accepted Him we will then bear the likeness of the man from heaven – Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:21-26; 44-49).

The first Adam brought death to his kingdom but the second Adam (Jesus Christ) brought life to this world.
