The Lord designated the husband to be the priest of the family and He also called all men to be kings and priests unto Him through Jesus Christ (Revelation 1:5-6).

These are the highest spiritual appointment in the Kingdom of God. Sadly most men are not living up to this high potential and it is affecting the family and community as a whole. The posts of kings and priests are available and you can learn how to apply for them here.

Only the sanctified and anointed priests were allowed to perform the sacrifices in the temple rituals (Leviticus 4:3-5).

Husbands and fathers, you are expected to make sacrifices for the betterment of your family. You need to present your body a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God which is your reasonable service and do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. (Romans 12:1-2)

Your mind can only be renewed by the Word of God so that you attain the mind of Christ which is love, humility, and obedience. Only with the mind of Christ will you be able to love your wife as Christ love the Church.

Only with a sacrificial heart like Christ will you be able to give yourself to her so that you may sanctify and cleanse her, and present her to God holy without spot or blemish (Ephesians 6:22-33).

Can a man who indulge in sin or arbor stubbornness and disobedience in his heart present his wife holy to God?

Impossible! Therefore, husbands examine your life before you preach submission to your wife. If you are not Christlike, your wife cannot submit to you because the Spirit of God cannot bow to the evil spirits of the devil.

Sacrifice requires an in-depth examination of your life. It requires been humble enough to face the truth about yourself and making a change where necessary.
