Give Your Best Offering

Please with sacrifice

The Lord needed a sanctuary to dwell among His people so that they can physically see His presence and know that He is with them. This dwelling place was to be built similar to the one in heaven. Therefore, the Lord asked his people to give the best offering that they had, and they were to give it freely without coercion (Exodus 25:1-9).

Likewise, the Lord wants us to build our body as His tabernacle. Our offering to God, in this case, is our entire life – body, spirit and soul. When we surrender our life totally to Him, He will cleanse and make us whole.

Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem. Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering. Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar (Psalms 51:18-19).
