Time and Season!

What do I mean by time and season?

The Bible states that:

To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

The remainder of the chapter list a series of time allotted to humans. A time to be born and a time to die; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to break down and a time to build up… This time is cyclical, and it revolve as the world rotate.hourglass-1055711_640

However, God’s time is different it does not operate in sequence it moves according to His mercy. Therefore, God’s time may not correspond to your personal time.

For example, if you decide that it is time for you to get married but God did not choose that time for you. Instead, He wants you to empower yourself through education. So He placed certain things such as financial assistance and acceptance into a college on your path to steer you towards that goal.

But because your heart is set on getting married you became blinded to these blessings, and you persist in doing your own thing. About a year or more in the marriage you realized that it would have been better if you had first gotten a better education and a better job before you get married which would have increased your financial standing.

Unfortunately, the time and season past when God wanted you to have an education and your season may not return for perhaps another five years. You will then have to bear whatever situation you are in until such time.

Another scenario is that you may be a student who has been struggling with your school work for years until your season came where God placed someone in your life who is dedicated to helping you in your lessons every step of the way.

You are grateful for this person, and you accept the help diligently. However, there may be other circumstances in your personal life which are not perfect, and you are tempted to give up and run away to find a better life in the unknown. But you may not find this life, and you will lose your blessings for that season.

Often the blessings of the Lord will come during a period of hardships and trials. It is, therefore, imperative that you receive and accept these benefits, humble yourself and hold on. Good things come to those who humble themselves and wait.

Get in line with God and know your time and season! (1)It is also important that you develop a close relationship with God so that you can merge your time in His time and season for you. Thus, you can be assured that whatever trials you may be going through He is with you. So appreciate and excel in your season.

Get in line with God and know your time and season!

A Prayer to fall into the time and season of God

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.

“I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we (I) asked of You, for You have made known to (me my time and season) the king’s demand.” (Daniel 2:20-23)

In Jesus name, Amen!
