“Look at the back of your left hand and tell me what do you see,” said the Lord, who dwells in my heart.

I was surprised by this request, but I looked anxiously at the back of my hands, and yes, they appeared youthful and slender.

I was quite shocked because while I was living in the stressful condition of my marital home my hands had become wrinkled and old. Is it possible to appear more aged due to strife and discontent within the home?

The Lord continued to speak to my heart. He said, “At the back of your left hand you will see beauty, youthfulness, poise, grace, endurance and strength. I have given them all to you. I have even given you more than you had before you were married. Your strength and youth have returned to your body; beauty and love have returned to you, and you will never be alone again.

“You will never be rejected or sad because I will dwell in your heart forever. I will be your guide, your comfort and your sustenance. So be of good courage and be not afraid. I will strengthen you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Said my Lord.

The Lord comforted me with those words on a Monday morning October 31, 2011, when I was feeling depressed and traumatized from a failed marriage.

The Lord told me that He understood my pain, and He wanted me to know that He will always be with me ready to listen to my concerns. He said that He will never become weary of me or ever forsake me.

“I am at your service any time, any hour, any day or night,” said the Lord. “I want you to know that I love you, and I am holding you. I am rocking you gently on my breast. I am wiping away all the tears. I am wiping away all the past, present and future tears of sorrow.

“You are my friend and companion, and I share in your struggles. I share your pain and your unhappiness. I will give you comfort and sweet rest. I will give you peace – peace that surpasses all understanding.

“I am giving you a future – a future that you can only see in your dream. I will make it become a reality, not because of any great work that you have done for me but because I love you, and I care about you.

“I will restore all the years that the cankerworms have eaten. I will restore the years that the enemy has robbed you. I will restore your youth as you were before you were married. I will restore your joy, happiness, hope, dream and love. I will restore them all to you,” said my Lord.

“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust,
the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame,” said the Lord. (Joel 2: 25-27)

The Lord is faithful, and His words will never return to Him void. The Lord will also pour out His Spirit of wisdom and revelation into your heart so that you can see visions, prophecy and dream dreams.

I am a living testimony of God’s healing and restoration, and I know that He can do the same for you if you trust Him completely.
