At a Tender Age!

I gave my heart to God at the tender age of ten years old after the death of my father. At this tender age I did not understand about God’s plan of salvation for my life. But I was blessed with a group of Elders in my church who were knowledgeable about the word of God. The full time Elder (Minister) explained to me in simple terms that I was born in sin and so I need to receive the Lord Jesus Christ in my heart so that he can cleanse my sin and make me whole.

I obeyed and was baptized one year later in my local church. For the entire year before baptism Brother Edwards (full time Minister) taught me the word of God every week during young convert class. Sometimes I was the only one in attendance but he never postponed a class. I will forever be grateful to him for his love and dedication in teaching me God’s word.

Since that time God has been a Father to me. He guided and protected me; and he provided for my every needs. You are not too young to accept Christ as your Savior. You are already blessed with a humble and sincere heart and that is all God requires from you. So give him your heart today because now is the best time for you because you are:

AT A TENDER AGE

At a tender age, I lost my father.

I lost the one who was to mentor

And guide me into womanhood.

I thought all my hopes and dreams would follow him to the grave.

Instead I received the greatest gain

When I became a princess into the royal family.

The King of Kings adopted me

As His chosen daughter on the day

I gave my heart and life to Him.

It happened when I was just a child, at a tender age.

The Lord told me that ‘He has chosen me

Before the foundation of the world,

That I should be holy and without blame before Him.

In love, He predestined me to be adopted as His daughter,

Through Jesus Christ according to the good pleasure of His will’.

At that tender age,

I had no understanding of God’s saving grace.

I had no knowledge of God’s wisdom and revelation.

I only knew with passionate assurance,

That I wanted to be part of the family of God.

So the Lord accepted me into His kingdom.

He told me that He will be a Father to the fatherless;

And He will show me justice when I am oppressed.

My Father, my Lord, guided me through life’s rugged road.

He ordered my footsteps so I did not stray

And become lost in the wilderness of sin.

He enlarged my path beneath me

So my feet did not slip into the mud of shame.

The Lord made my way prosperous

Even when I did not know where I was going.

He directed my life on the path of success.

He gave me strength and security.

My Father made me into a woman of integrity.

These blessings can be yours.

They are free for you to receive,

Whether or not you have an earthly father,

Just consider it an additional bonus.

Now is the best time for you

To receive this special gift from God

Because you are at the opportune moment of your life –

You are at a tender age.

Romans 8:15;  Ephesians 1: 4-5, 17- 18; Psalms. 10:14 – 16; 68:5;  18:36
