A Prayer For You

We are at the end of the two-month dedication to the teens and young adults. It is, therefore, important that we release a prayer of thanksgiving and strength over you. Each highlighted word or phrase will take you back to a post that will refresh and encourage you.

Pray, believe and receive these words in your heart and soul.

girl-15599_640Heavenly Father we want to thank and praise you because you are God of our lives.

We are grateful to you that you have created us in your image and likeness, and you gave us power and authority to live a rich and abundant life on earth.

We recognize that each of us are unique Because of the gifts and talents that you gave to us even before we were born into this world.

Help us to recognize our gifts so that we can use it to build and edify the Church until we are all united in one accord.

We stand firm under your authority that we are strong in you. We will, therefore, suit ourselves in the armor of truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and the word of God so that we will be able to stand against the tricks and lies of the enemy.

We know where we are going because you ordered our footsteps so that we can walk in our divine destiny.

You promise never to leave nor forsake us so in spite of our circumstances we have an assurance that we can do all things through Christ who strengthen us.

Therefore we can boldly say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

Lord, we ask that you grant supernatural strength and deliverance to those young people who have been abused and persecuted.

We call on your angels to fight the battle on their behalf and eradicate the plots and traps of the enemy.

Teach us always to look ahead and leave the past failures behind because they do not determine our future.

Teach us Lord, how to make the right decision in life so that we can receive wisdom to know your purpose in our life; and we can live a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty.

Lord, you know that we have big dreams of becoming great people who will be effective leaders and professionals.

We want to be successful in our endeavors, so we ask that you endue us with the mind of Christ which is humility and obedience.

A humble spirit will remove the spirit of pride from our lives, and so we submit ourselves to you, to our elders and each other.

Give us grace and meekness to agree with each other and be supportive of each other.

We are your chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. We are wealthy and extraordinary in your sight so teach us to love and respect ourselves as you love us.

Re-create your spirit within us and prepare us for our spiritual mate that you chose for us. We are willing to be patient because as we wait on you, our strength will be renewed daily and the enemy will be silence.

Your love, O God, surpasses all our human understanding. It is deeper and stronger than our human capabilities.

When we receive you in our heart (the Holy Spirit)  you will teach us the meaning of love and how to express it in our relationships.

We will continue to walk in the spirit of love, joy, kindness, patience and godliness so that we will not be overcome with the lust of the flesh.

We will forever thank you, oh God, for yours is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory and the majesty.

For all that is in heaven and the earth is yours.

This is your kingdom oh Lord and you are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from you and you reign over all.

In your hand is power and might; in your hand, you make great and give strength to all.

We thank you once more and praise your glorious name through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen. (1 Chronicles 29:10-15)
