Quietness and Confidence Will be Your Strength.

Teenage years fall between thirteen to nineteen years. Teenagers are also called adolescence because they are in a process of transition from childhood to adulthood.

During the teenage years, they experience rapid chemical and hormonal changes in their body and mind. Consequently, their behavior pattern may become irrational.teenager-661942_640

They may become self-conscious and sensitive about their appearance, and some may even compare themselves to others. It is also at this stage of their lives that they try to establish their identity.

Their behavior sometimes causes conflict and other emotional problems in the home. Hence, many parents have difficulty dealing with the behavior crisis of their teenage child.

I am the mother of two teenage children. At first, when I was faced with the sudden changes in their conduct I could not handle them, so I sought directions from the Lord.

God is interested in every aspect of our lives. It does not matter how trivial it is. We are important to Him because He created us and He loves us.

In the past, my solution to my children’s unseemly behavior was to shout and quarrel, but this only increases my blood pressure and gave me an upset stomach.

I was always overstressed. This was clearly unhealthy for me both physically and mentally.

Therefore, when the Lord gave me some explicit instructions from the Bible of how to deal with my children, I decided to follow them carefully, and they worked for my family.

I am a more calm and rational mother, and my children are now focused on their school work and are more obedient. We are not perfect, but we are a work in progress.

The knowledge that God gave me about teenagers and young adults I have shared with you on this blog for the month of July which will continue for the month of August.

Let us recap last month lessons. Follow the highlighted links.

It is important that as teenagers and young adults that you know who you are in spite of your differences. You are God’s workmanship.

You also need to know that you are strong because this life is a journey and you need to know where you are going.

The journey to success is paved with trials. The Lord created your divine destiny within you even before your birth. You only need to trust in the Lord and stand firm in truth and obedience.

Many young people especially girls are unsure of themselves, and they lack self-confidence. It is important that girls do not focused on the outward beauty but work on strengthening their inner being by knowing themselves and their purpose in God. accomplish-1136863_640

Yes! Beauty can come out bold because beauty can – you can do anything that you set your mind to do and you can be great. Beauty is coming out from the shell of shyness and beauty is definitely becoming a bold person by believing in yourself.

Since you cannot change your past, do not let it bother you because your past does not determine the future that God has for you. So select the right hand of God and you will receive not only wisdom and knowledge but also wealth and fame.

God has a purpose for your life and, believe me; it is a sound and firm foundation. Sometimes you might feel pressured by your peers or even bullied by others who are victims of the enemy. I want you to forgive them and say a prayer for them.

Finally but not least I want you to strive to maintain a calm spirit at all times. Whenever you feel hasty, shy, rushed, excited, uneasy, concerned, disturbed or apprehensive rebuke the spirit of fear, and this will give you the courage to do anything.

Always pray and give thanks on behalf of everyone. Pray for those who are in authority and for your family and friends so that you may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty.

These are God’s requirements for you because he wants you to be knowledgeable about the truth.

Always remember in quietness and confidence will be your strength!
