Wake Up And Live

awake

Darkness is akin to sin.

As long as you are practicing sin you are in a sense existing in darkness because your spirit is dead.

In the beginning, there was the spiritual darkness of evil that encompassed the universe.

This darkness opposed the good work that God was performing. Thus, the earth was formless and void.

But, God had a remedy.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness He called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. (Genesis 1:3-5 NIV)

God created the physical and the spiritual to coexist together.

He created the physical darkness which He called night and the physical light which He called day.

This was the creation of man’s time zone because the human body cannot exist in God’s limitless time zone.

God controlled the darkness of evil by calling forth the spiritual light, which is the light of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)

Why would anyone want to exist in the darkness where there is no vision and no form of life whatsoever?

Without vision, you will perish.

Furthermore, the darkness is filled with pain, confusion, and misery.

In addition, the devil and his demons exist in the darkness.

The darkness is not a place for humanity. Hence, God ensures that the light of His Son removed the darkness before He created man.

Humans were created in the light of the Lord Jesus Christ.

After the fall of man, humanity was plunged into the darkness.

But, the Lord is imploring you to get out of the darkness and step into His marvelous light.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says:

“Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” (Ephesians 5:8-14 NKJV)

When you are in the light you will live according to the fruits of the Spirit which are all goodness, righteousness, and truth.

Let us pray!

Heavenly Father, thank you that we are children of light, and so we will not fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but we will expose them.

Help us that whatever we say and do will be done to your glory.

We are proud to be children of the light and we will not be ashamed of the testimony of Christ.

We will continually be grateful to you and sing your praises forever.

In Jesus’ name. Amen

do not be ashamed

  1. High Time to Wake Up is scheduled for August the 28th. Isn’t God so amazing? I believe when I see two or more of the same idea that God is wanting us to listen for He is speaking.
God bless. Have a great day.
