The Lord Is In Your Midst

In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: “Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak. The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:16-17)

The omnipresent power of God is always present with us during the good times and especially in the bad times.

God is a present help in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1).

The Son of God was with the three Hebrew boys in the middle of the burning fire. He was absorbing the heat of the fire so that it would not harm the three boys (Daniel 3).

The Lord was present with the Israelites in the wilderness as a pillar of cloud in the day and a pillar of fire at night (Exodus 13).

Therefore, the Lord knew when the people were hungry and thirsty and was ready to provide for them.

The Israelites refused to believe that they had access to an open heaven and instead of exercising simply faith they constantly complained bitterly.

God is always merciful and long suffering towards humanity and so He caused waters to burst forth in the wilderness, and streams to flow in the desert to satisfy the heart of the people (Isaiah 35:6B).

The power of God never cease. He is still providing, guiding and protecting you even as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death (Psalms 23).

Therefore, in every situation continue to pray without ceasing because the Lord will rescue you from troubles and temptations.

When you are sorrowful, He will rejoice over you with gladness and turn your mourning into dancing (Psalms 30:11).

When you are anxious with fear the Lord will quiet you with His love and when you are feeling lonely and depress the Lord will rejoice over you with singing.

So be encouraged and lift up your head high because the Lord is in your midst.
