Bread Cannot Satsify You

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4; Deut. 8:3NKJV)

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. ( Revelation 19:15)

Human beings were created by God to exist only on planet earth not on mars or the moon.

We were made from the dust of the earth and so our physical body is tied to the earth by a force scientists called gravity.

But we are also bound to the earth by the spiritual force of the Holy Spirit.

He is our comforter, teacher and guide.

The Word of God is the food that guarantee that we remain alive on earth.

It is capable of giving us vital functions necessary for life. Some of these functions are breathing, sleeping, eating.

The devil would like us to exist in this world on food and material things alone. But these do not promote happiness and contentment.

You can be the richest man in the world but is still discontented while you can be the poorest person but contented because the Word of God gives you peace and contentment.

So attack the enemy with fasting and praying aloud the Word of God.

Thus proving that your primary food is the Word of God.

  1. One of my favorite meals is Psalm 103:

    Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
    Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
    Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
    Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
    Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
    The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
    He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
    The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
    He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
    He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
    For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
    As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
    Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
    For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
    As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
    For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
    But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
    To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
    The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
    Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
    Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
    Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.

  2. “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah Come, behold the works of the Lord , Who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah”
    (Ps 46:1‭-‬11)
