Becoming an effective writer for God

According to the Bible dictionary, a scribe in biblical days acted as a secretary of state who prepared and issued decrees in the name of the king (1 Chronicles 24:6)

The scribes were ancient writers who studied and teach the law of God.

When Cyrus king of Persia decreed that the Jews could return to their homeland to rebuild the temple of God, Ezra, a scribe, prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel the statutes and judgments of God. (Ezra 7:6-10)

In those days, The Lord required that the Israelites literally bind the laws upon their heads and to write them upon their doorposts and gates so that they did not forget them. (Deuteronomy 11:18-20)

We no longer have scribes in our present-day society but we do have writers and bloggers in the kingdom of God.

To fulfill our mandate effectively we have to be like Ezra and ensure that we seek the Lord earnestly in prayer and study His Word.

Before we can teach the Word of God it must first be written in our hearts not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (2 Corinthians 3:3)

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11)

I pray that as writers within the Kingdom of God you will walk worthy of your calling in humility, patience, and love. Always striving to keep the unity in the bond of peace.

I pray that you will be filled with the knowledge of God’s Word in all wisdom and spiritual understanding and you will be fruitful in the great work that you are doing for the Lord. Amen!
