You Are God’s Witness…

That He is God!

“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me.

I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior. I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you; Therefore you are My witnesses,” Says the Lord, “that I am God.” (Isaiah 43:10-12NKJV)

God chose you to be His witness. That is, to personally testify that He is God.

It is your testimony that will prove to the world that God exists and there is no other god before or will there be any after Him.

Because you are God’s witness you will provoke the Lord to anger and jealousy if you allow anything to become an idol in your life (Deuteronomy 32:16).

An idol can be anything or anyone that you spend most of your time with.

Who do you praise because of your achievements? Do you give yourself all the credit because of your success?

If your confidence is in your job, your bank accounts or even in your children then you are not giving God the glory and so you cease to be a witness for Him on this earth.

Be aware that God will not share His glory with men.

I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (Isaiah 42:8)

The Lord has formed you specifically for Himself to show His praise (Isaiah 43:21).

The Lord delivered you out of the hands of the enemy so that you will serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness every day of your life (Luke 1:74-75).

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Ephesians 1:4-6)

The children of Israel heard the voice of God speaking from the midst of fire and live (Deuteronomy 4:33-36).

They saw and experienced how God delivered them mightily from Egypt yet they quickly fell into idolatry and rebellion.

They ceased to be a witness for God and eventually perished in the wilderness.

Your purpose on earth is to know God and the power of His resurrection. (Philippians 3:10)

Your purpose on earth for which you were created is for good works.

Your purpose on earth is to become the oil and wine so that you can pour the oil and wine on the wounds of those who have been afflicted by the enemy.

When you are fulfilling the purpose for which God has ordained you to be then you will be fulfilling your role as His witness.

Consequently,

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. (Psalms 91:14-16)

You will be rewarded with deliverance, protection, honor and long life.

  1. I often think about what Jesus said when the disciples asked him after his resurrection if he was going to return the kingdom to Israel. He told them it was not for them to know when it would happen, but their job was to be his witnesses.

    • Praise the Lord. This is the perfect example of our mandate here on earth. We do not have to speculate and worry about when Jesus will return. All we need to do is simply be His witness on earth. Thank you so much my big brother for this powerful revelation. Have a great day. Rest in the Lord.
