Daily Love Or Valentine’s Day

Which do you prefer?

The world celebrates one day to show their love.

A lot of people especially women look forward to this special day because it is the only time that they will receive flowers, gifts or even hear the words “I love you.”

Sad!

But, true!

Similar to Christmas Day, the spirit of depression and loneliness attack many people because they think they have no one to love them.

The world focuses on a single day to express their love, but God loves you every day.

You are loved!

Yes, God loves you better and deeper, surpassing the love of humans.

Receive the perfect love of God in your heart today and every day for the rest of your life.

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. (Jeremiah 31:3)

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings (Psalms 36:7)

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. (Psalms 63:1-4)

Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

  1. Ahhh, February 14th…it’s Valentine’s Day again and the balloons and red roses are emptying shelves and pouring out through stores, chocolate candies are purchased and restaurants are booked weeks in advance so that people can find a way to express their love on “one” day of the year. It’s beautiful for those in a relationships, for those single it can be depressing.

It seems foolish to put so much emphasis to show love on one day when we show the person we love every day and not just wait for February 14th. While all this is great and I don’t have a problem with this day, we must not forget that God showed the most amazing example of love when He gave His only son to die on the cross for our sins. John 3:16 is so often quoted that we sometimes forget the intent of God’s heart. God loves us so much that He shows His love for us 365 times a year, not with roses or candies but with His gift of eternal life.

    • The hype about Valentines day is all about the money. The merchants cash in on that day. I pray that the people of God will use wisdom and sound judgment and not drawn in by the snares of the world. As you said, many single people are depressed on that day. May God comfort them and lead them to His loving arms. Thank you, Kim for sharing. I deeply appreciate your support.
