Stay On Guard

We have already gone halfway through the month of January and by now you have settled in the routine that you have established for this year.

I pray that whatever you have decided to accomplish this year, God will grant you the desires of your heart.

There will be trials, but you will overcome if you remain on guard and in constant prayer.

Be aware that the enemy never takes a break. He is constantly shooting fiery darts at God’s people.

But be of good courage because you are equipped with the weapons of victory to enable you to walk through the midst of the riot.

During this year you can also expect to hear of natural disasters and man-made catastrophes. Some have already begun!

For example, the Australia bush fire that began September 2019 has already claimed twenty-eight lives and destroyed over two thousand homes and numerous wildlife continue to rage.

The threat of war between Iran and the USA appeared imminent.

Read more about these crises here.

Closer to home in the Caribbean were several earthquakes in Puerto Rico that destroyed several homes and buildings and claimed one life.

Let us continue to pray for the people of Puerto Rico and those whose lives are affected by war and other natural disasters.

Sometimes disasters will cast you down but you will not be destroyed because there is always hope in God.

In spite of all the negative things that are happening worldwide, it is possible to experience heaven on earth in your personal life.

You can live a rich and fulfilling life regardless of your status in life.

As a matter of fact, God desires that you be poor in spirit to inherit the kingdom of heaven. Additionally, the meek will inherit the earth (Matthew 5).

The Lord Jesus Christ suffered many things while He was on earth. Therefore, as followers of Christ, you can expect to be persecuted by the enemy.

Jesus said that if you want to follow Him you will have to deny yourself and take up the cross daily and follow Him (Luke 9:22-23).

It is a blessing and honor to be part of the family of God.

  2. Your message reminds me of what the pastor said at church today. He said the game is on and we are in a war! Yes, we have to stay on our guard! Things are happening left and right. We must stay anchored in Jesus.

    • Praise the Lord. Your pastor is on target. Sometimes we tend to relax as we slip into the usual routine of life. But the signs all around us are telling us to be alert.

How is your new job? I hope that you are settling in nicely.

      • I just started attending this church but I like it so far. He seems passionate about teaching the truth.

I have two weeks before I start. But I’m looking forward to it. Thanks for asking.

      • Okay. Great! You have enough time to adjust your mind. I like that. It can be a little hard when you begin a new job especially in a new state or country. But, I know that God will give you the strength and courage to tackle anything. All the best in your new church and job. 🙂🙏❤

  3. I am continuing to pray for the these countries. Thank you for shining a light on them and on the fact that the enemy is working just as hard to derail us as we are to stay on track. Let us be encouraged that God is for us!
