1 Grateful Person Tag

To show gratitude is to be deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received (Dictionary.com).

When you show your gratitude it creates a feeling of joy and satisfaction both to the giver and receiver.

Therefore, I wish to thank Matthew from Jesusluvsall’s blog and Jacquie from Joy Cottage for tagging me this post.

A few weeks ago I had a flat tire and one of my neighbors came over with his tools to replace my tire with a spare. Words could not express how grateful I was to him.

After he left I said a prayer of gratitude to God for this young man and asked the Lord to help me that I will never forget acts of kindness towards me.

I definitely want to be the one person who returns to say thank you.

Thank you, big brother, Matt!

Thank you, Jacquie from Joy Cottage!

The 1 Grateful Person Tag is based on Luke 19 and the account of Jesus with the 1 out ten lepers he healed who came back thank him. Let us aspire to be like the 1 who thanked Jesus and not the 9 who did not.

1- Share what you are grateful to Jesus for.

2-Share a passage from the bible about gratitude that means something to you.

3- Tag whoever you wish to.

4- Please share a link to my original post. 1 Grateful Person

5- Use any picture in your post that expresses gratitude.

6. Share the intro.

1.  I thank God that He has given me the breath of life. I thank Him that He is with me in every situation, guiding and protecting.

I thank the Lord for being God all by Himself.

2.  My favorite Bible verse about gratitude.

O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all His people. In the courts of the Lord‘s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord. (Psalms 116:16-19)

  1. Thank you so much, Beverley! What a beautiful blog post and reminder of the one leper who thanked Jesus. That is a powerful example that we’re called upon to follow. I am thankful for much today. As I said in my response to your comment on my blog post today, I started feeling much better late yesterday and today has been such a blessing as I am in much less pain than over the last 10 days and I am feeling more like myself.

Although Jesus always restores my health to my normal — and I still have fibromyalgia — it’s difficult during a flare-up of the disease to remember that the flare-up is temporary. That little voice in my head always tries to make me fear that it’s not a flare-up but instead it is permanent and that I will never feel better. Last night and today are proof to me that it was just a temporary flare-up and better days lie ahead.

Thank you for all the good you do through your blog. I know I missed some of your posts while I was sick, so I have some catching up to do.

I’m honored that you tagged me in your blog today! Coming from you, it is a real compliment. I look forward to looking at the work of the other bloggers you tagged as time and health allow.

    Have a good day, Beverley.

    • Thank you, Janet for you kind encouraging words. I do enjoy reading your blog and I learned a lot from your knowledge of writing. I thank God that your flare up is only temporary and that you are feeling much better. I pray that God will continue to strengthen you from day to day. Blessings.

    • It ia okay if you do not tag anyone. I think you have given us confirmation that gratitude is important. We certainly do not want to be among the nine ungrateful lepers 🙂. As you said gratitude will open doors for us. Have a blessed day.
