Have You Found Him?
Have you found the man, Christ Jesus?
Finding Him means you may have to give up the things that you love the most.
You will have to walk by faith, trusting the things that you cannot see and not the things that you can see.
Walking by faith comes with many sacrifices. Hence the road is narrow and rugged with few people treading the path.
On this journey you sometimes have to forsake everything that you cherish.
You first have to deny yourself and take up the cross to follow Christ. In other words, you have kill all your fleshly desires on the cross.
You may have to forsake your family to follow Jesus!
And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. (Matthew 19:29)
It you are wealthy, you may have to sell everything you own and give to the poor to have eternal life.
When you choose to follow Jesus, you may have to let the dead bury their dead!
You sometimes have to forsake your chosen professional career to fulfill the call that God has on your life.
The twelve desciples gave up their careers as fishermen, tax collectors to follow Jesus.
Paul gave up his lucrative career as a Hebrew Pharisees. He was a devoted Jews and well learned in the laws of God.
He was comitted to defending the laws by persecuting the Church.
Paul considered himself a righteous and blamless outstanding Jews until he found Him – the man Christ Jesus.
Then, he forsook all and counted them as dung!
They were all things loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.
Are you willing to count everything as dung when you find Him?
You will!
Because when you find Him you will recognize His voice – the voice of the good Shepherd.
You will know Him because of the nail prints in His hands.
You will know Him because of His blood stained robe.
Yes, my friends you will know Him because you will see His name written on His robe and on His thigh – King of kings and Lord of lords.
Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, we have found Him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph (John 1:45)
Have you found Him as yet?

Beautiful, Beverley. Let us keep following the narrow path that leads to eternity with the Lord, and let us keep encouraging others to join us on this path. 🤗

Denying self is a must to wholeheartedly follow Jesus. When we lay down our own will to follow His, that’s when we truly begin to live life. Thanks Beverley!
