Prayer For The People Of Bahamas

Let us continue to pray for the people of the Bahamas who have been devastated by the monster hurricane Dorian.

Dorian blew up from just a tropical storm that passed over the Virgin Islands last week Thursday into a gigantic category five hurricane packing winds of over 180mph.

The storm tore through Abaco moving at 5mph and then slowly moved over Grand Bahamas where it sat over the island for the entire day Monday, September 2.

It pummeled the flat terrains with winds 180mph creating massive flooding, toring down trees, buildings, motor vehicles and everything in its path.

ABC News

The people are crying out for help. The news reported five people dead.

The videos and pictures that are flooding the internet are heart wrenching.

We in the BVI strongly empathized with the people of Bahamas as we have been in similar circumstances in 2017.

But, it is difficult for us to imagine having Irma pounding us for an entire day!

One person told me that if that had happened to us with Irma, then she would have asked God to take her life.

This storm has resurrected some painful memories for us and so our hearts goes out to you the people of Bahamas. We are praying for you!

Heavenly Father,
We put the people of Bahamas before you, O’ God. We know that nothing is impossible for you.

We know that you are greater than hurricanes and all natural disasters. We know that you can calm the storm and halt the raging winds.

But, you work according to your will and we surrender to your will.

Lord, we put the people of Bahamas before you. Rescue the perishing and care for dying. Help them in this distressing time of need.

Lord, we cry unto you to break up this monster storm into many pieces and let them be scattered across the ocean that it will not affect another land.

Lord give the people of Bahamas the strength and resilience to get back on their feet and rebuild.

Have mercy Lord! In Jesus name, Amen.

Continue to pray for the victims of this storm. Please help if it is in the power of your hands to do so.

Thank you.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)

  1. Isaiah 41:10 is one of my favorite scriptures and is a great reminder of Jehovah God’s love for his people. I look forward to God’s Kingdom when natural disasters and other forms of suffering will be a thing of the past.

  2. Continuing to keep Bahamas in prayer. In total agreement that our Tropical Prayer Storm -RESTORATION – will remain at a Category 5 over the next 12 Months, and we will see Miraculous Recovery, Restoration, and Resurrection in their Land. 💜
