The Power Of Prayer

If God already knows your  needs and desires why do we need to pray?

This is a question that a lot of people sometimes ask.

Some people do not see the importance of prayer so they don’t bother to pray.

As a matter of fact some religious group banned prayer all together.

But, if you understand that we are living in a physical world which coexists with a spiritual world then you will understand the importance of praying.

Prayers will open your eyes to the spiritual realm (2 Kings 6:17).

Prayers act directly on the spiritual realm which then changes your physical circumstances.

Before anything happens in the physical, it must first take place in the spiritual.

The book of Revelation tells us that the prayers of the saints are like incense which filled golden bowls or censors in heaven.

When the smoke from the incense ascends before God He remembers our petiition and send His angels to act on our behalf (Revelation 8).

Prayers will strengthen your spirit and keep you away from temptation (Matthew 26:41)

Prayers consecrate your heart and body to God (1 Kings 9; 2 Chronicles 6).

Prayers strengthen your faith in God (Epjesiams 6).

Your prayers draw you closer to God.

There is a constant battle going on in the realm of the spirit between good and evil. Only prayer and fasting can dispatch angels to fight on your behalf and release the answer to your prayers (Daniel 10; Matthew 26:53).

Prayer and fasting drive out stubborn demons and tear down spiritual strongholds (Mark 9:29)

Prayers open heaven and release blessings and favor (Luke 3:21)

Prayers transform you so that the glory of God shines through you (Luke 9:29)

Confession and prayer will heal you (James 5)

Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. (Psalms 141:2)

Don’t ever stop praying!

  1. Hi Beverly, your post reminded of this…….1 Samuel 12:23 NASBS
far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you;. Samuel considered it grave sin not to pray. Nice post. Thanks for sharing.
