Hide The Word In Your Heart
How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.
Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes. (Psalms 119:9-12).
The Bible is not a book that you should try to read off within a month or a year. If you do the value of the Bible will be lost.
If you consider the contents of the Bible as a message from God to you, then you will want to spend some quality time with the Sender to get a full understanding of His message to you.
Hiding God’s Word in your heart does not mean to keep it a secret from others.
It means to reserve or protect the Word in your heart so that in times of trials or hardship you will be able to pull those Words from the inner recesses of your heart to encourage and strengthen you.
Those hidden Words in your heart will also prevent you from yielding to temptations.
The Word of God within your heart will renew your mind daily and it will keep you protected in God’s secret place.
Don’t underestimate the benefits of the Word, so take your time to read the Bible.
You have the rest of your life to try to complete it.
