The Night Shines As The Day
One of our favorite slang, when I was a young Radiographer was, “Radiographers work better in the dark.”
Long ago we processed the x-ray films in the darkroom. But, modern technology and the age of digital radiography has erased film processing and the darkroom so Radiographers no longer work in the dark. But, Sonographers prefer to work in a darkened room to enhance the images on the monitors.
Who likes the dark? Most people especially children are afraid of the dark.
After the hurricane passed we were left in the dark and when we saw the many tangled cables and broken poles on the streets we realized that we would be in the dark for a long long time. Unless of course, you can afford a portable generator.
However, I am not complaining because being a Medical Imaging Technologist for over thirty years I work better in the dark. Not that I like the darkness but it was thrown upon me so I will make the best of it.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” even the night shall be light about me; indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. (Psalms 139:11-12)
We are living in serious times and we need to know the provision that God has made for us and how we can be prepared for the return of the Lord.
