New Release: Harm Not the Oil and Wine

Hello there,

For those of you who may not be familiar with me, I am Beverley’s daughter, her eldest child. Many of you may or may not be aware that currently Beverley would no be posting for a while. She is one of the survivors of both Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria. These two category five hurricanes wrecked havoc on the little island she called home — the little island that I call home.

Right now, I’m in New York at school and was thankfully spared from the Hurricane, but as Romans 8:28 says, all things work together for good. It was God’s doing that I am here in New York, otherwise the book that my mother spent so many sleepless nights on would have laid waste.

It was perfect timing as well. Before I left to go to school, I remembered telling my mother that not another year would pass before the releasing of the book. I had seen her stressed out, crying, and sometimes even wanting to give up throughout those times she was getting this book ready. Even me, sometimes, doubted that the book would ever be released, but my mother had faith — lots of faith and she kept pressing on.

Now, I know you guys are wondering (or you perhaps already know) if this book was ever released. I have some good news! It is.

The book, entitled ‘Harm Not the Oil and Wine’ is an exceptional book that would cause you to ponder and reflect about some of the things that you’ve learned throughout your life attending church, but most importantly it will give you hope and inspire you. It was this book that gave my mother hope and inspired her. The book is now available for purchase on Amazon (you can click here to buy) as well as CreateSpace. All the proceedings from this book will go towards helping my mother and her two children (myself and my younger brother) as she she finds her footing from Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria.

I do hope that soon enough she will be able to continue writing for the blog. But as for now, purchasing this book will encourage you, fill you with hope, and inspire you. Harm not the Oil and Wine

  1. Thank you for updating us Ruth. This is my prayer too, and is already bearing fruit, as also her book will as well. Indeed, Gods timing is perfect. This is your mom’s brightest hour for she will shine in the midst of all the darkness around her.

  2. I am at the Digicel store in Tortola to use their wifi to access this blog. Your post brought tears to my eyes because it exceeded my expectations.
In 2011 when the Lord inspired me to write this book I didn’t know that I would endure so much trials while writing it. Seven years I spent writing it and I know that this year God wants it to be released because seven symbolize completeness.
This book has been a source of encouragement to me and I do hope you will also find it a blessing.
Thank you, Ruth, for standing by my side throughout the good and bad times. Thank you, Susan, for your friendship and support. Special thanks also to all my fellow bloggers for your support throughout the years and I pray that you will continue to do so. Much blessings to you.

  5. Hello Beverley, I trust you and family are well.
I have reviewed your book and uploaded to both Amazon and Goodreads. Amazon will take 2-3 days before they will upload but as far as I am aware it is immediately visible at Goodreads.
    Best wishes.
