Is There A Famine On The Land?

Then it came to pass, at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh had a dream.

He dreamt that seven lean (meager) cows ate seven fat cows and seven thin heads of grain ate seven plump, juicy heads of grain.

How strange!

Then it came to pass, at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh had a dream; and behold, he stood by the river. Suddenly there came up out of the river seven cows, fine looking and fat; and they fed in the meadow. Then behold, seven other cows came up after them out of the river, ugly and gaunt, and stood by the other cows on the bank of the river. And the ugly and gaunt cows ate up the seven fine looking and fat cows. So Pharaoh awoke. (Genesis 41:1-4)

  1. The famine in the land will be for the Word of God and we are living in those days.

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.

This is a wise action to take: We should be storing up the treasures of Gods Word in our hearts (by memorizing scriptures) so that while the famine is upon us, we will be able to feed on His Truths.

And remember in Psalms 37:19 God says “They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.”

    • The famine is truly upon us because even though we have the Bible many people are feasting on deception prefering to believe a lie instead of the truth of God’s Word. We are indeed living in serious time.
