Stand Fast In Your Faith

Stand fast in your faith, hold the traditions and doctrines of Christ.

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,  to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. (2 Thessalonians 2:13-17)

  1. Playing it safe and never taking that leap of faith, and trusting that the Lord will see you through, will keep you from growing Spiritually and fulfilling your calling, and cause you to stagnate.

Other words for regret are: sorrow, grief, anguish, woe, heartache, heartbreak–

These nouns denote mental distress. Regret has the broadest range, from mere disappointment to a painful sense of dissatisfaction or self-reproach, as over something lost or done. (Referenced from the Thesaurus dictionary).

So, by trusting in the Lord we know by His Word He says:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Hope and a future)

Psalms 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go, I will guide thee with mine eye.

And with regret, we fall upon our knees and ask for His mercy:

Psalms 31:9  Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

But the good news is what He will do in our future:

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
