Overcoming The giants In The Land
You have been in the wilderness for a long time; you have circled the mountain thousands of times; you have suffered many hardships by the enemies. You are tired!
Well, it is over because God is saying to you it is time to cross over Jordan. But you have one last hurdle to overcome – There are giants in the land. They are people, nations, and systems mightier than you. They have huge cities that are fortified with fences reaching up to the heaven.
The people are great and tall. They are the children of the Anakins. You have heard people say how can you stand before the children of the Anak?
God has given you a vision or a mission that He wants you to accomplish. He has been training and preparing you for this venture. While getting ready, you have been through the fiery trials, but they did not crush you but instead help to build and strengthen you.
Finally, the Lord is telling you that it is time to cross over Jordan. So you take a peak over the Jordon river – the mission that God wants you to do – but you are amazed at all the giants that are in the land.
They are mighty and powerful, and you wonder how you will reach anyone when you have no followers. You are not a celebrity or a famous person; you are just an ordinary individual that God gave a message to take to the world.
You know that this message will shake the foundation of the earth, and it will change millions of lives. And it is imperative that the revelation is given to this present generation who are perishing due to lack of knowledge.
You are wondering why God did not give the revelation to the pastors of mega churches. After all, they have thousands of people in their congregation, and their televised programs will reach millions. Therefore, valuable information will immediately reach the target audience.
But no, God chose to give you this important task. You who are infamous and has no endorsers. But the job must be done, and God insists that He wants you to do it because He does not reveal His secrets to the wise and prudent but to the babies. You are the baby He chose.
Across Jordan is filled with Giants – the famous and wealthy preachers, evangelists and writers; the thousands of apostles and prophets on the television and internet. They have impressive titles in front of their names and numerous letters behind. They attended the most prestigious theological colleges and seminars.
What is your title? How many letters follow your name? Which theological seminar did you attend? The last time you check, your title was Mr. Mrs or Miss and they remained the same. There are no letters behind your name except perhaps the undergraduate degree that you received at your local college so that you could get a professional career.
You are like a grasshopper when you compare yourself to these giants. What should you do? The devil constantly tells you it is no use fighting against these giants because they will crush you mercilessly. He said to take his advice and give up.
The Devil told you to return to your former life where you live from paycheck to paycheck, depending on secular income. He advised you to go back to your position as a benchwarmer in the church. He said, “Give up! You cannot make it!”
But a small voice in your spirit said that you can. You know the identity of this voice because you are familiar with Him. He has been living in your heart for years guiding and protecting you.
As a matter of fact, He knows you from before you were in your mother’s womb, and He called you for that purpose even then. Thus, He knows you even more than you know yourself. It, therefore, make sense to trust the One, who is acquainted with you.
God said He will go before you as a consuming fire and destroy the giants. The Lord stated that He will tear down the Giants to their faces. He said that you will drive them out and destroy them quickly. What exactly will you tear down?
The doctrines, disunity, and deception in the Church that are not of God.
Understand that it is the Lord who will go before you and do the greater work. He will weaken the nations so that it is easy for you to destroy them.
Thus, fear not for the Lord will be with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not give up but continue to believe God and press on.
I hope that this post will encourage you as much as it has encouraged me to press on into my Jordan. God is good, and His promises are sure.
