Cover Your Nakedness!
Linen trousers were made for the priests to cover their nakedness. It extends from the waist to the thighs, and the priests have to wear it every time they minister before the Lord in the holy place, or else they die (Exodus 28:42-43.)
Nakedness refers to sin. After Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s command they look on their bodies and they saw the shame or nakedness of sin. The Levitical laws stated that the nakedness of the father, mother or brethren must not be uncovered because it is wickedness and is punished by death (Leviticus 18)
And you shall make for them linen trousers to cover their nakedness. They shall reach from the waist to the thighs. (Exodus 28:42)
“When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,” says the Lord God. (Ezekiel 16:8)
