The Golden Lampstand

seven lamps

The entire parts (shaft, branches, bowls and decorations) of the Lampstand were made of one piece of pure hammered gold.

The Lampstand had three branches for the candle on either side. The branches and lampstand were decorated with bowls and almond flowers. The number three represent the Godhead – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Lamp and its branches represent an almond tree branch that is blossoming flowers.

You shall make seven lamps for it, and they shall arrange its lamps so that they give light in front of it.  And its wick-trimmers and their trays shall be of pure gold. It shall be made of a talent of pure gold, with all these utensils.  And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain. (Exodus 25:37-40)
