Can You See the Glory of the Lord in Your Life?
The children of Israel witnessed the miracles of the Lord while they were in the wilderness yet they remained in disbelief and never entered the promised land.
Disobedience hardened Their hearts and so that when they saw the glory of the Lord on top of the mountain it appeared to them as consuming fire.
Moses had an intimate relationship with God so how did the glory of God appear to Him on the mountain?
Now the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel. So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights. (Exodus 24:16-18)
The glory of the Lord appeared to Moses as a cloud, not a consuming fire because he had a close relationship with God, so He showed him peace and gave him rest
